Welcome to Lemoncholy's Studio, Internet home of artist Kecia Deveney.

Thanks for visiting Lemoncholy's Studio. Otherwise known as Kecia Deveney, I am a lover of all that is vintage and worn, quirky and unique.

Kecia is a mixed media jewelry artist, amateur photographer and videographer, who now resides at the Jersey Shore.

I am a collector of miscellania, and spend a lot of time at flea markets, finding odd bits of detritus—someone else's cast-off, rusty gems (one man's junk...)—perfect for turning into wearable altered art necklaces.

Also an art instructor, I teach in my home and in venues around the country. Visit my Gallery to see past class projects, then see my Blog for my upcoming workshop schedule. No workshop near you? Contact me to plan a home party for you and your friends—I'll come to your house for a class on mixed media collage, altered art, jewelry techniques, or...

I've been published!

Kecia Deveney has had articles and projects published in Stampington Press publications, Altered Couture, and Belle Armoire Jewelry, twice.

My Etsy shoppe.

Visit my Etsy shoppe for my nostalgia-inspired, one-of-a-kind, story-telling art to wear.

Please contact me if you're interested in incorporating pictures or personal items into a necklace. I've done many for clients who gave them as gifts - they are truly unique pieces that evoke special meaning for both the giver and receiver.

The uncommon life...

See images of past and recent pieces of wearable art, and art to enhance our everyday lives.

I'm also including photos of sample items used in teaching art classes. Contact me if you'd like to request a special class.

My main interest area now is altered art jewelry, though I have worked in a variety of mediums.
