This is a really special piece. I
did some research on animal symbolism to better understand what it is
that attracts me to wings and why i enjoy using them in my work. Two
key words about the beautiful butterfly are transition and soul. This
necklace contains 2 sets of wings; a large pair and a smaller, more
delicate pair. The doll represents the woman in all of us as we age and
transition through life. She wears a vintage lace skirt and she stills
bears a little bit of the dirt when she was dug up from an old German
doll factory. Hanging beneath the doll is a metal charm that reads "no
act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted". Quote by Aesop. Her beautiful necklace is quite old and unique. Little mother of pearl flat beads dangle from each link. The length of this necklace is 15" which will be carefully wrapped and sent out first class with insurance.
style tip: funk your necklace up even more by pairing it other necklaces (shorter or longer). it'll give you that gypsy flair!
